Le Vieux Chalet is a charming mountain restaurant in typical Swiss chalet, in the authentic and quiet village of Champéry, in one of the ski resort of the Portes-du-Soleil domain.
Outside and inside, the building building complies with the local architecture made of stone and old wood with a predominant use of materials of Swiss origin.
Inside, with its wooded setting, warm and friendly, it offers a varied menu with a focusing on local products and chic gastronomy.
The focus is on grilled meat over a wood fire upon their specialty. Prime rib, filet of beef or lamb cooked in front of you to the chimney and accompanied by fries or potato gratin and small vegetables. All products that make up our board are prepared fresh daily by our chefs and their team.
Must Swiss dishes and regional culinary however, are not forgotten and fondues (nature, tomato, with mushrooms or truffles) or other Valais or dried meat dishes are offered.
The drinks menu showcases local wines, not to mention the famous Eau-de-vie Génépi.
After dinner or a digestive break, the smoking room with a stone-olar awaits you in a refined and cozy atmosphere with views of the Dents du Midi. You can take the time to enjoy a cigar with a whiskey, rum or other beverage of your choice from the map of digestive.
The Vieux Chalet Restaurant is open almost all year and welcomes families and children, individuals, couples and groups, skiers, hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers, not to mention the region’s workers like at home.
The menu offers dishes and local products that reflect the mountain and forest character of the place. A daily special is offered at noon.
